Centerville Fire were dispatched to the 6100 block of Sonia Circle at around 12:20 a.m. on reports of a structure fire, Montgomery County Regional Dispatch told News Center 7.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they found a single-story residential house “fully involved” in flames, Kettering Dispatch—who also dispatches for Miami Township—stated.
As firefighters searched for the root of the fire, they discovered the basement “fully engulfed,” first responders said over emergency scanners. Crews attempted to find an entryway into the basement to attack and extinguish the flames.
While crews worked, a spokesperson for the department posted on Facebook to “avoid the area.”
Firefighters were able to successfully extinguish the fire.
The house was unoccupied at the time of the fire, dispatch said. As a result, no medics were called to the scene.
