People came out to lay wreaths on the headstones of veterans at the Dayton National Cemetery in Montgomery.
In Miami County, Troy volunteers came out to honor those who served our nation.
“Millions of volunteers, a third of whom were children, remembered our nation’s heroes as they said their names out loud, with the placement of over three million sponsored veterans’ wreaths,” Wreaths Across America wrote on Facebook. “Thank you to the volunteers who took time out of their busy holiday season to Remember the fallen, Honor those who served, and Teach the next generation the value of freedom. And to the sponsors, donors, and supporters who make the mission possible year after year.”
They will do this again on Dec. 13, 2025.
