Dayton Children’s Hospital received 1,300 doses of the vaccine. They too began vaccinating employees this afternoon.

“Excited, gratitude and relief are what I’m feeling today,” said Dr. Stephen Wolf, a doctor in pulmonary medicine. “This is the first thing I can do besides wearing a mask and socially distance to help get us to the other side. I am very grateful for the opportunity to get the vaccine today.”

The vaccine is not mandatory for healthcare workers at either hospital.
