Bond set for Miamisburg man accused of sexually assaulting three children

MIAMISBURG — UPDATE @ 12:16 p.m. (April 4):

A Miamisburg man accused of sexually assaulting three children pleaded not guilty to more than 20 felony charges Thursday morning.
A judge set bond at $500,000 for 54-year-old Scott Pate.

Pate is facing 10 counts of rape of a victim younger than 10; 10 counts of gross sexual imposition of a victim younger than 13 and two counts of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles.

If he makes bond, he will be on house arrest.

Pate was also ordered to have no contact with the alleged victims and any minors.

His next court date is April 16.

Investigators believe that there may be other victims in the case. Anyone with information should contact detective Michael Aiken at 937-847-6621.

A 54-year-old Miamisburg man is facing 22 felony charges after he was accused of sexually assaulting three children.

Scott Pate faces 10 counts of rape of a victim younger than 10; 10 counts of gross sexual imposition of a victim younger than 13 and two counts of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles.

Last March, a 7-year-old girl told her parent that Pate had sexually assaulted her and two other girls over a period of about three years.

“The victim also disclosed that the defendant showed the girl adult pornography,” prosecutors said.

Investigators believe Pate may have committed sex offenses on additional children and are asking anyone with information to contact detective Michael Aiken at 937-847-6621, the prosecutors said.

Pate is still in the Montgomery County Jail and will be arraigned on April 4.  His bond is $500,000.
