UPDATE: Middletown man, subject of missing adult alert, safely located

MIDDLETOWN — UPDATE @ 9:50 a.m. (Dec. 1):

Darell Sims, the Middletown man who was the subject of an Endangered Missing Adult Alert, returned to his health care facility and is safe, according to Middletown police.

FIRST REPORT:

The Middletown Police Department is issuing a Missing Adult Alert for a 68-year-old man.

Darell Sims walked away from his care facility on Hamilton Middletown Road around 5 p.m. Tuesday and has not returned.

Sims is a Black male, 5-foot-9 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. He is bald and has brown eyes. Sims was last seen wearing a black bubble coat and a black hat.

Police ask that you call 911 if you see him. You can also call 1-866-693-9171 or 911 to be transferred directly to the investigating law enforcement agency or to hear the alert information.
