Montgomery County ADAMHS hosting free online event

DAYTON — Montgomery County ADAMHS is holding a free webinar open to the public next month.

Alcohol & Social Justice: Peeling Back the “Wallpaper” is the name of the event.

Montgomery County ADAMHS wants the community to “dive into the topic of how alcohol continues to play a role in supporting oppression, feeding into racism and sexism, and undermining social justice efforts,” according to a news release.

Dr. David Jernigan, a professor at Boston University School of Public Health, will be conducting the webinar. According to the release, Dr. Jernigan is known for his research that focuses issues pertaining to alcohol advertising, marketing, and promotion and its influence on young people.

The webinar will be held on Feb. 16, 2022, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
