MONTGOMERY COUNTY — The Montgomery county OVI Task Force talked about its plan to prevent impaired driving during a press conference Friday.
The task force’s goal is to bring awareness and education to the dangers of driving drunk.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s website, troopers have made more than 15-thousand OVI citations this year, which is more than all of 2020.
“They have more free time. People are working from home, they go out because they need to socialize and it changes everything,” Michelle Moser, coordinator of the Montgomery County OVI task force.

A map released by the state patrol puts into perspective the amount of OVI arrests this year in the Miami Valley.
Clark County has seen the most, with 440 arrests, while Darke County had the least with just six being reported.
