Montgomery County pop-up testing sites yield 5.6 percent positive rate

MONTGOMERY COUNTY — Three pop-up testing sites in Montgomery County between July 16 and July 20 had a combined positive rate of 5.6 percent, according to data released today by Public Health - Dayton & Montgomery County.

The results show the pop-up sites yielded testing results that were below the state average for the same time frame, according to data from the Ohio Department of Health.

The testing sites included:

July 16: Rose Music Center (Huber Heights)

July 17: Trotwood Madison High School (Trotwood)

July 20: Montgomery County Fairgrounds (Jefferson Twp.)

In Huber Heights, 1,058 people were testing and 47 were positive.

In Trotwood, 1,168 people were tested and 71 were positive.

In Jefferson Twp., 1,478 people were tested and 91 were positive.

Those who tested positive were contacted by phone and those who tested negative will receive a notice in the mail, according to Public Health spokesman Dan Suffoletto.
