ArriveSafe program means free cab rides for Montgomery County residents through St. Patrick’s Day weekend

The Montgomery County Prosecutor is partnering with AAA and Heidelberg Distributing/Budweiser to offer free cab rides home for the St. Patrick’s Day holiday, according to a release.

The ArriveSafe program will run from 6 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Monday.

Last year for the St. Patrick’s Day Holiday, over 100 calls for a safe ride home were made.

The four options available include:

  • A free cab ride home by calling ArriveSafe at 937-449-9999 any time between 6 p.m. on Friday through 6 a.m. Monday. Rides are offered to Montgomery County residents covering fares up to $50.
  • Ask a family member or friend to be your designated driver. The Dublin Pub and Flanagan's Pub will provide free AAA Designated Driver wrist bands and offer complimentary non-alcoholic beverages to designated drivers.
  • A free shuttle service will be available between Flanagan's Pub on Stewart Street to the Dublin Pub on Wayne Avenue. The stop will be at Fifth Street and Wayne Avenue beginning at 10 a.m.
  • Crown Plaza Dayton, 33 E. Fifth Street, is offering a special rate for people to stay overnight and stay safe. For reservations, use rate preference: Dublin Pub and call 937-229-9835.
