Do you know this man? Sketch released of man who attempted to abduct teen girl

Moraine Police are asking for the public’s help finding a man who exposed himself, then tried to lure a 13-year-old girl in to his car.

Police released a sketch of the suspect Tuesday morning.

The department posted a warning to parents on its Facebook page. The incident happened in a neighborhood near the Alex-Bell Plaza April 26.

DESCRIPTION OF MAN WHO TRIED TO LURE GIRL:

  • White male
  • 40-50 years old
  • Brown hair, dark sunglasses
  • 2001-2005 Ford Focus wagon, rusted front, dent in rear
  • Brown poodle

According to police, the 13-year-old girl said a white male, 40 to 50 years old with brown hair, wearing a brown hat and dark sunglasses tried to lure her into his vehicle. The car is described as a 2001-2005 Ford Focus wagon with rust on the front and a small dent in the rear of the car.

Officer Jay Klemmensen said the incident occurred sometime between 4 and 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the area of Lauderdale Drive and Genoa Street.

The man had a brown poodle in the back of the car.

According to police the man said, “have you seen one of these?” The man exposed himself to the girl who then ran to a neighbor for help.

Officer Klemmensen believes the suspect followed the girl from Alex-Bell Plaza.
