Attempted murder case: Woman accused of tying up newborn in trash bag in Miami Twp. in jail

A woman charged with attempted murder who is accused of tying up her newborn baby inside a trash bag and placing it in a garbage can is now behind bars.

Jessica L. Taylor, 39, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on Saturday, online jail records show. She is being held without bond.

FIRST REPORT

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Moraine woman accused of tying up her newborn baby inside a trash bag on Valentine’s Day and placing it in a garbage can at a Miami Twp. home.

Jessica L. Taylor, 39, was indicted today for attempted murder, two counts of felonious assault and single counts of child endangering and aggravated possession of drugs, according to the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office.

Miami Twp. police and paramedics were called Feb. 14 to a home on Loxley Drive after a family member called 911 and reported that Taylor was bleeding and in pain. Inside the home, medics heard a baby crying and found the newborn tied up in a trash bag inside a bathroom garbage can.

She is scheduled to be arraigned Sept. 12 in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court.
