UPDATE @ 8:27 p.m.:
Power has been restored to the 6,328 impacted customers in the west Beavercreek area Tuesday, according to DP&L associate Kevin Hall.

The outage started at 6:30 p.m. DP&L was able to restore over 5,000 customer’s power around 7:20 p.m. The rest was restored at 8:10 p.m., Hall said.
The cause is being investigated, but Hall said they know the equipment malfunctioned in some way.

Over 6,000 DP&L customers are without power in Beavercreek.

A transformer blew in the area of North Fairfield Road and US-35 Tuesday, according to Beavercreek dispatch.
Three circuits were out, according to DP&L.
