MONTGOMERY COUNTY — UPDATE @ 11 a.m.:
Electric service has been restored to most DP&L customers after an outage initially knocked out power to over 2,400 people.
As of 11 a.m., only 88 DP&L customers remain without power, according to an online outage map.
UPDATE @ 10 a.m.:
A thousand Dayton Power & Lights customers remain without power in Montgomery County.
As of 10 a.m., there were 1,098 powers outages reported, according to the DP&L outage map.
Nearly 1,000 of those outages are just north of Dayton in the Northridge area.
INITIAL REPORT:
More than 2,400 Dayton Power & Light customers were without power Thursday morning after storms and rain rolled through the area.
As of 9 a.m., 2,416 people didn’t have power in Montgomery County, according to the DP&L outage map.
Around 2,300 of those outages were in the Northridge area, north of Dayton.
DP&L crews are working to determine the cause of the outages, according to a company official.
They do not have an estimated restoration time.
