A Dayton mother is facing felony charges after she was accused of threatening to hurt officers and possibly blow up a building.
Judy Johnson, 60, was arrested around 8:15 a.m. today in the 700 block of Elmhurst Road on a warrant by the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team.
Detectives said Johnson became agitated and confrontational with her son’s probation officer and made the threats.
Johnson was said to become frustrated that her son, Tyree Johnson, not being released from the Montgomery County Jail. He’s being held on a burglary and making false alarms charge.
She called a county probation officer who works in the Reibold building on East Fourth Street and began leaving threatening messages, according to the report.
Detectives wrote that she threatened to harm the probation officer as well as Dayton and Trotwood police officers. Some of the messages made reference to a possible bomb and a timeline countdown leading to a possible explosion if her son was not released.
