Two MCSO deputies stopped at the scene of the crash and rendered “life-saving aid” to the man until emergency crews arrived, our CBS affiliate WTOL-TV in Toledo reported.

The man was taken to the hospital with suspected serious injuries, the crash report indicated. Police say he is expected to survive, WTOL reported.

A spokesperson for the sheriff’s office identified the two deputies in a social media post as Deputy David Williams and Deputy Kory Caldwell.

“While traveling home from SWAT training in Michigan, these two deputies came upon a motorcycle crash and quickly sprang into action to assist the victim who was severely bleeding,” the spokesperson said. “According to the Toledo Police Department, their decisive actions and quick thinking helped to save the life of a Lucas County man.”

“Their actions are a testament to the values of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, and we are honored to have such outstanding individuals serving with us,” the post continued.
