Multiple accidents reported along I-75 in Miami Valley as rain, storms roll through

MIAMI VALLEY — Multiple accidents were reported Wednesday afternoon as heavy rain and storms rolled through the Miami Valley.

Although all severe weather watches were canceled by 6 p.m., wet roads continued to cause problems for drivers.

Around 5:30 p.m., Tipp City fire crews responded to a multi-car slide-off on I-75 Southbound near South County Line Road 25A.

Around 6:50 p.m. Dayton fire crews responded to a semi-trailer crash into a concrete barrier on I-75 northbound at North Main Street. This caused all lanes to be shut down.

At 7:08 p.m. a crash was reported on I-75 southbound at the Main Street ramp.

At 7:25 p.m., a crash was reported on I-75 northbound at North Keowee Street.

The cause of the crashes remains under investigation.
