HARRISON TOWNSHIP — A Harrison Township structure was reportedly “fully involved” in flames early Friday morning.

The Harrison Township Fire Department responded to a structure fire near the intersection of West Hillcrest Avenue and Wheeler Avenue at 4:59 a.m., Montgomery County Regional Dispatch confirmed.
When firefighters arrived, they found a vacant residential structure “fully involved” in flames, prompting crews to upgrade the call to a working fire, according to initial traffic across emergency scanners.
Other agencies, including law enforcement, assisted with the scene to block off West Hillcrest Avenue while firefighters worked to extinguished the flames.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation by the Harrison Township Fire Department.
