Multiple crews called to 8-acre field fire in Clark County

CLARK COUNTY — Multiple fire crews have been called to a field fire in Clark County early Monday morning.

Pitchin Village Fire Chief Jeff Bern told News Center 7 that crews were dispatched to the 7100 block of Old Clifton Road.

The fire burned through eight acres of already harvested corn, according to Bern.

Crews managed to corral the fire away from corn that had not been harvested yet.

Fire crews from Houston, Cedarville, and Miami Township assisted Pitchin Fire crews on the scene.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.
