The crash involved a black SUV and red pickup truck with the truck overturning and ending up in a creek. The two people from the pickup were taken to the hospital with critical injuries, Miami Twp. police said. There were no injuries to anyone in the SUV.

Police on the scene said the two people were trapped in the truck after the crash. Both had to be rescued.

A neighbor who lives near the intersection said he’s only lived there for a couple years, but has seen or heard as many as five crashes at the intersection since he moved in.

Police said a crash reconstruction team was called to the scene to work to determine who was at fault and gather other evidence.

Officers said they have no evidence of any drugs or alcohol being involved and they are working to determine how fast the drivers were going when the crash happened.
