Power restored to over 2,600 AES Ohio customers after Thursday’s storms

DAYTON — AES Ohio customers have power again after a concentrated outage in Montgomery County Thursday night.

At its peak, 2,684 customers were without power in the Dayton Metro Area, according to the AES Ohio outages map.

There was a report of a power pole on fire in the area of Harvard Boulevard and Philadelphia Drive, dispatchers tell News Center 7.

The number was as high as 2,684 customers, AES Ohio’s outage map said.

The outage is weather-related due to the storms that moved through the area late this afternoon, AES Ohio’s Mary Ann Kabel told News Center 7.

AES Ohio crews are on site and working to restore power.
