SPRINGFIELD — The Springfield Police Division has released a summary of their 2024 responses. They say they answered 49,717 calls throughout the year.

Their number one category of calls was disorderly conduct, with 467 calls, Springfield police say.

Business checks come in second at 464 calls, according to Springfield police.
Also making the top 10 list are audible burglary alarm, suspicious activity, 911 hang ups, 911 open line, traffic stops, larceny, motor vehicle accidents and suspicious persons.
Just in the month of December, Springfield police responded to 4,238 calls, according to Springfield police.
