HUBER HEIGHTS — A neighborhood showed their support for a 4-year-old battling a rare genetic condition.
As reported on News Center 7 at 11, Kaden Logan has neurofibromatosis, also known as NF1.
It causes tumors to grow on his nerves, brain, and spinal cord.
“Right now he actually has two on his optic nerves,” Dylan Logan, Kaden’s dad said.

Dylan was thinking of ways to support his son, so he put up green and blue lights and wondered if his neighbor would do the same.
His neighbor loved the idea so much that he bought more.
“We got bulbs and we went knocking at the neighbor’s doors, told them about NF1, kind of explained what was going on, and asked if they wanted to support us,” Donn Rinehart said.
Dylan said that around 20 neighbors have put up lights.
“It’s important to be good with your neighbors. You know there’s what it says in the bible ‘Love thy neighbor.’” Rinehart said.
