On Wednesday, police provided an update on the Thanksgiving shooting at Club Hollywood that killed 27-year-old Shyheim Gibson.
Springfield police, with the help of the U.S. Marshal’s Office and other agencies, arrested Sean Baron Wallace, 30, in Reynoldsburg Tuesday night, Sgt. James Byron confirmed.
Wallace was booked in the Franklin County Jail on suspicion of aggravated murder and felonious assault.

Byron reiterated that this shooting was not a random act, noting that both men knew each other.
Wallace was identified as the only suspect in the shooting “very early on,” but police didn’t want to initially disclose that information.
“Suspects read the news and watch the news as well, so we could not reveal what our intentions were. We wanted to get him in custody in the safest way possible,” Byron said.
Police said Wallace’s actions also endangered everyone else in the crowded bar when he fired multiple shots at Gibson.
“The chances of someone else being struck were great. I’m surprised no one else was hit in the bar,” he said.
Police said they don’t believe Wallace was connected to the fire that happened at the bar days after the shooting.
