DAYTON — Neighbors are frustrated after teenagers crashed a stolen car near their homes early Friday morning.

As reported on News Center at 11:00, the crash happened at the intersection of E. Fourth Street and South Philadelphia Street just before 2 a.m.

A stolen Kia Forte, driven by a 16-year-old, was going 85 mph when it hit an oncoming GMC Sierra and two parked vehicles.
Eileen Watson told News Center 7 that her car was hit.
“We haven’t had it for four months yet,” Watson said.
Watson said she has lived near the intersection for six years.
“It scared the living daylights out of all of us,” Watson said.
Watson’s next-door neighbor, Tim Hooven, told News Center 7 that he has had enough.
Hooven said smashed car parts in the street are their new normal.
“They fly them down the street all day long. And, well, of course, you just seen all the kids on motorcycles. I guess that’s the new outlaws,” Hooven said.
Hooven said that there were four crashes, two of which he considered serious, at this intersection last year.
“There was a girl hit here. Her car was hit, and she stayed here for four and a half, five hours before the police ever even showed up,” Hooven said.
Dayton police said the 16-year-old driver, their 15-year-old passenger, and another driver were hurt in this crash.
The two teenagers were later arrested after receiving medical treatment.
Some homeowners told News Center 7 that they would like to see the city put in speed bumps and have more officers patrol the area.
