Coronavirus: New study shows children make up 10% of all COVID-19 cases in the U.S.

The American Academy of Pediatrics and the Children’s Hospital Association found 10 percent of all COVID-19 cases consist of children, according to a new study released this week.

This is in comparison to April numbers, where a survey found two percent of the confirmed coronavirus-related cases consisted of people under the age of 17.

The AAP said kids may not get as sick as adults form contracting the virus but they can spread it.

According to the CDC, since April, between 5 and 7 percent of all COVID tests are done on children.
