Siara Akers, a building aide, rushed over and immediately administered the Heimlich maneuver and successfully dislodged the food item, the post said.

“The student’s family delivered a bouquet of flowers to Ms. Akers for her amazing efforts. Outstanding work from our Five Points Elementary Building Aides this week for recognizing a student in need, and a huge thank you to Siara Akers who was first to react,” the post said.
