DAYTON — The Ohio Department of Transportation is making a traffic pattern change on Interstate 75 ahead of the forecasted winter weather.

The southbound contraflow lane on I-75 south between Needmore Road and Leo Street will be closed, according to ODOT.

The lane will be closed from late morning Sunday until the storm is over, ODOT says.
According to ODOT, clearing snow and ice in a contraflow lane is challenging. The closure is necessary for the safety of drivers and crews.
The department of transportation wants to remind drivers to pay attention to their surroundings while driving, and to slow down in work zones.
