1 injured after crash on SR 444 in Greene County

GREENE COUNTY — UPDATE @ 10:11 a.m.:

One person has been hospitalized after a crash on State Route 444 in Greene County Tuesday morning.

The single-vehicle crash was reported around 6:20 a.m. on SR 444 near Communications Blvd. in Bath Twp.

An initial investigation showed that a 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis was going northeast on SR 444 when it went off the right side of the road, hit a sign, and overturned into a nearby field, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The driver, 58-year-old Franca Purdue, of Dayton, was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Purdue was cited for failure to maintain reasonable control of a motor vehicle.
