DAYTON — UPDATE @1:28 p.m.
One man is dead and another is injured after a shooting that took place in Dayton early Tuesday morning.
News Center 7 is digging into a series of shootings that have wounded or killed 5 people in 3 days and will have everything we learn on the investigations and possible solutions on News Center 7 at 5:00 and 6:00.

Around 3:14 a.m. man was found shot on a sidewalk on Conover Street and West Fifth Street where he was pronounced dead.
The man who died was identified as 37-year-old John Favors.
Later, a 33-year-old man arrived at an area hospital with a gunshot wound.
His injuries were determined to be non-life threatening, according to Dayton Police.

A man is dead after a shooting in Dayton early Tuesday morning.
As reported Tuesday on News Center 7′s Daybreak, Dayton Police officers and medics were dispatched at 3:14 a.m. to S. Conover and W. Fifth Streets on reports of a shooting, according to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch.
A Dayton Police sergeant told News Center 7′s Xavier Hershovitz that a man was found shot on a sidewalk. They tried to save him but could not.
The sergeant also said the shooting took place at an after-hours bar and Dayton Police have had other incidents in the past.
The shooting remains under investigation.

As reported Tuesday on News Center 7′s Daybreak, Dayton Police officers and medics were dispatched at 3:14 a.m. to S. Conover and W. Fifth Streets on reports of a shooting, according to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch.
Photos and videos show officers have blocked off part of the area with caution tape and have placed several evidence markers.
News Center 7′s Xavier Hershovitz said he saw a Montgomery County Coroner’s Office van arrive and then leave the scene.
A tow truck also removed a car.
