In the past five years, officers said there have been 124 total pedestrian related accidents on SR 48 in Montgomery County. 10 of them have been fatal.
The goal of the enforcement efforts, officers said, is to increase awareness and gain compliance with Ohio’s criminal, traffic and pedestrian laws.
Officers want to remind pedestrians that they must use properly marked crosswalks and be on the look out for oncoming vehicles.
