Occupants believe roof collapsed after drywall falls inside Washington Twp. townhome

WASHINGTON TWP. — UPDATE @ 2:20 a.m: Occupants of a Washington Twp. town-home believed their roof collapsed after drywall came down inside of the structure, officials confirm.

The incident was dispatched as a roof collapse in the 7000 block of Betsy Ross Circle around 1:25 a.m., per initial reports.

“The townhome is currently being re-roofed”, said Washington Twp. Batillion Fire Chief Michael Guadagno. “So, there are parts of the townhome’s upstairs that are currently not finished”.

No injuries were reported as a result of the dry wall collapse and the family was not displaced.

Crews were able to handle the incident and clear the scene quickly.

Crews are on scene of a roof collapse that occurred on a structure on Betsy Ross Circle early Wednesday morning.

The incident was dispatched around 1:25 a.m. in the 7000 block, per initial reports.
