SWANTON, Ohio — You could hear fighter jets flying over the region at night as the Ohio Air National Guard conducts scheduled training this week.

The 180th Fighter Wing, based in Swanton, near Toledo, will conduct night flight training in the region Monday through Thursday, according a spokesperson for the fighter wing.

“Training flights normally take place during daylight hours, but F-16 pilots and maintenance personnel are required to conduct night operations as part of their overall readiness training,” the spokesperson said.
F-16s might be heard until about 9 p.m. each day this week.
