Congressman Mike Turner is getting a promotion.
House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy appointed Turner to be ranking member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
Turner will take over on Jan. 1, 2022 following Congressman Devin Nunes resignation.
In a statement, McCarthy said Turner’s commitment to the United States was “unwavering.”
“Mike’s leadership of the committee will continue the great work of Congressman Nunes who has led the committee with integrity,” McCarthy said.
