The crash was minor, police say, but the 2008 Toyota Camry did require a pullout.
According to police, the driver, Carlos Sept, was wanted on a probation violation in Ohio. When attempting to detain Sept, he “forcibly pulled away and ran across all lanes of I-65 almost causing several accidents in the inclement weather,” according to police.
Sept ran into a field, police say. After the trooper relocated to Sept, he ran again. This time Sept was attempting to drive his car off of the tow truck, police say.
Sept eventually gave himself up, police say, and he was taken into custody.
Indiana State Police say the K9 on scene alerted to marijuana and suspected heroin.
Sept was taken to the Jasper County Jail and has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, intimidation, false identity statement, resisting law enforcement and possession of marijuana.
