CLEVELAND — A 45-year-old man was shot after asking another man for money in a Cleveland parking lot last week.

Around 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, officers were dispatched to Tower City to assist RTA police with a male who was shot, CBS affiliate WOIO reported.

The 45-year-old man was taken to MetroHealth Hospital with a gunshot wound to the foot.
The man reportedly told police that around 12:15 p.m. he was in the parking lot of the Triskett Rapid Station when he asked the suspect for money at which time the suspect shot him.
The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.
