CLEVELAND, Ohio — An Ohio man was shot and killed Christmas Eve morning.

The Cleveland Division of Police officers were called to East 13th Street and Superior Ave in Downtown Cleveland on reports of a gunshot victim, CBS affiliate WOIO reported.

The call came in around 3:30 a.m. on Dec. 24, according to police.
Upon arrival, officers found a 42-year-old man with a gunshot wound lying unconscious in the street.
Officers rendered first aid until medics with Cleveland EMS arrived.
The man, who has yet to be identified, was in critical condition as medics took him to MetroHealth Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
No further information is being released at this time, according to police.
The investigation is ongoing.
