Ohio State Fair returns this summer; Dates announced

COLUMBUS — The Ohio State Fair will be back at the Ohio Expo Center this year.

The fair will run from July 27 through Aug. 7.

The state canceled the fair in 2020 and closed to the public last year due to the pandemic.

All of the fan favorites will return this summer, Ohio Expo Center and State Fair general manager Virgil Strickler said.

Fairgoers will be able to see the iconic butter cow, get some deep-fried food on a stick, listen to music and much more.

Fair organizers said nearly a million people attended the fair in 2019.

The first acts for the Ohio State Fair Concert and Event Series will be announced on Monday March 7, with additional announcements on March 21 and April 4, according to a release.
