Ohio Task Force 1 heading to Alabama in preparation for Tropical Storm Ian

VANDALIA — Ohio Task Force 1 has been assigned to be in Alabama as the team is being staged in preparation for the potential impact of Tropical Storm Ian, according to a post on its Facebook page.

47 members of OH-TF1 left their warehouse in Vandalia Saturday in a convoy of 14 semis, trucks, buses, boats and trailers.

The team bedded down Saturday night in Athens, Tennessee and were on the road Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m., the team said on Facebook.

“Everyone is healthy, in good spirits, and ready to do good work for the impacted area,” said Jack Reall, Task Force Leader.

The situation remains fluid and the team remains flexible, according to the post.
