The task force was officially demobilized this morning at 9 a.m.

“Working alongside other FEMA US&R teams, Indiana Task Force 1 and Tennessee Task Force 1, the Team encountered heavy damage in the area including trees and power lines down, roads washed out or impassable, mudslides. Communications were challenging with little to no cell service and difficult radio transmission. Boat crews would work a 12-hour day searching for missing persons or those in need of assistance,” a release from the team stated.

The team was scheduled to arrive back home at around 2 p.m. today.
