Park officials warned that wildlife in Yellowstone are wild and can be dangerous when approached.

They said that bison have injured more people in Yellowstone than any other animal and can run three times faster than humans.

They cautioned to stay more than 25 feet away from all large animals, such as bison, elk, bighorn sheep and deer, and at least 300 feet away from bears and wolves.

Park officials said this is the first reported incident of a bison goring someone in 2022.
