SPRINGFIELD — A woman is dead after being struck by a vehicle in Springfield Tuesday morning.

Springfield Police and medics were dispatched to the 100 block of E. Euclid Avenue at around 7:30 a.m. on initial reports of a pedestrian crash, Springfield Police told News Center 7.
Medics transported the victim, described as a 61-year-old woman, to the hospital. She later died from her injuries, Springfield Police confirmed Tuesday afternoon.
The woman’s identity has not been released at this time.
