One person injured after shooting in Harrison Township

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — One person has been injured after a shooting in Harrison Township Saturday afternoon, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Sergeant Jay Vitali said.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies from the Harrison Twp. substation responded to a shooting in Harrison Township, Vitali said.

Deputies went to the 2000 block of Deering Avenue off W Hillcrest Avenue, near Salem Avenue at approximately 4:30 p.m.

Vitali said deputies located an adult male with a gunshot wound.

The man was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

They also say there were no witnesses.

It is not clear if a suspect has been located.

The Special Investigations Section of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating this incident.
