One taken by CareFlight after ATV crash in Darke County

UPDATE @ 4 p.m. (Jan. 22):

The ATV rider injured in a crash Sunday afternoon was identified as 16-year-old Trevor Huber, according to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office. His condition is not known.

UPDATE @ 10:30 p.m.:

A male remains hospitalized following an ATV accident on Mangen Road in Darke County Sunday afternoon.

The driver was reportedly traveling south on Mangen Road when his ATV went off the roadway and traveled into a ditch, according to a news release.

The ATV reportedly overturned on top of the driver, causing him to be pinned underneath it.

The driver was removed and transported by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, the release stated. His condition is unknown at this time.

Deputies from the Darke County Sheriff’s Office, along with Versailles Rescue and the Versailles Fire Department assisted at the scene.

This accident remains under investigation.

FIRST REPORT:

One person was taken by CareFlight to a hospital Sunday afternoon after an ATV crash, according to Darke County dispatch.

The incident was reported around 4:25 p.m. in the 11000 block of Mangen Road.

According to initial reports, one person was not breathing when crews arrived.

The persons injuries and condition is unknown at this time.
