Cyber security experts are warning of phishing emails which are going to look even more like the real thing this holiday season.
The emails will ask you to click a link, which will download malicious software to your computer, or they will ask for your personal information.
Last week, an email purported to be from Amazon was analyzed and was found to be linking back to a malicious non-Amazon domain, according to cloud security provider, Armor.
As you can see from the photo, it would be hard to determine it was a fake.
Armor has also discovered a new phishing campaign expected to have begun Dec. 1.
These emails will appear to be a shipping or order notification and the “sent from” address will look convincingly like it has been sent from UPS, FedEx, USPS, Amazon and other sites.
News Center 7 consumer reporter Rachel Murray will have insight from a local tech expert on what to watch out for and how to protect yourself — today at 5 p.m. on WHIO-TV.
