Thousands of people were without power following this week’s winter storm with dangerously cold temperatures and wind chills.
Power companies worked throughout the day and night to restore power to their customers, an AES Ohio spokesperson told News Center 7.
As of 9:00 p.m. 49 AES customers are without power and 279 Duke Energy customers.
“Our crews are out there working in these conditions,” Mary Ann Kabel with AES said while noting that the crews have appreciated seeing fewer people out on the roads.

- Champaign: 2
- Greene: 12
- Mercer: 2
- Miami: 1
- Montgomery: 5
- Shelby: 1

- Butler: 4
- Warren: 1
Ohio Edison
- Clark: 8
If you’re an AES Ohio customer experiencing a power outage, an AES spokesperson said to report it either on AES Ohio’s website or by calling 877-468-8243.
