When will my power be back on? 14K still without power across Miami Valley

MIAMI VALLEY — Thousands of power outages have been reported across the Miami Valley.

At 11:45 p.m. on Sunday, approximately 15,525 customers are without power around the Miami Valley.

AES Ohio is reporting that 13,979 customers are without power, and approximately 13,817 of those outages are in the Miami Valley, according to the AES Ohio outage map. Here are the latest outages with AES Ohio:

  • Butler: 1
  • Clark: 130
  • Clinton: 804
  • Darke: 6
  • Greene: 2,995
  • Miami: 34
  • Montgomery: 8,511
  • Preble: 965
  • Shelby: 1
  • Warren: 370

Duke Energy is reporting 216 active outages impacting customers in Butler, Clinton, Montgomery, Preble, and Warren counties:

  • Butler: 395
  • Clinton: 42
  • Preble: 13
  • Warren: 471

Ohio Edison is reporting that fewer than 20 customers in Clark County are without power.

AES Ohio spokesperson Mary Ann Kable spoke about the restoration efforts on News Center 7 on Saturday morning. She said the biggest challenge crews are facing is the amount of trees and branches that have fallen on power lines.

Kable said AES Ohio crews, as well as contractor crews, are working nonstop to restore power. She expects even more progress now that it is daylight and the high winds have subsided.
