According to the Dayton Fire Department Captain Brad French, the preliminary damage estimate is approximately $330,000.

Dayton firefighters were dispatched around 5:30 a.m. to the Legacy Pancake House at the 1500 block of N. Keowee Street.

“So when we got here, there were already flames. We have good water in these areas that we had no problem with it,” Dayton Fire Chief David Grubb said.

Fire officials say the business is a total loss.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, according to French.
