Tickets purchased for Wednesday’s drawing surpassed the amount of those sold for Monday’s drawing by nearly two million.

Nobody matched all the numbers in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing. Lottery officials said Saturday’s jackpot will be for an estimated $1.5 billion, which would be the second-largest jackpot hit in Powerball history.
