Nearly 1,000 still without power in the Miami Valley

MIAMI VALLEY — Some residents across the Miami Valley are experiencing power outages as gusty winds move through the area.

As of 6:45 a.m., nearly 1,000 people are without power across the Miami Valley.

AES Ohio spokesperson, Mary Ann Kabel, told News Center 7 that crews will be working on the outages throughout the night Saturday, but some outages may not be repaired until today.

Kabel said if a person sees a downed wire, to not go near it and to call AES Ohio to report it or an outage at (877)-468-8243.

AES Ohio is reporting outages in the following counties:

• Clinton: 29
• Darke: 22
• Fayette: 122
• Greene: 186
• Logan: 3
• Mercer: 3
• Miami: 56
• Montgomery: 342
• Preble: 130
• Shelby: 5
• Union: 1
• Warren: 40

Ohio Edison is reporting outages in the following counties:

• Clark: 5

Duke Energy is reporting outages in the following counties:

• Hamilton: 2
