MIAMI VALLEY — We are receiving multiple reports of weather damage due to strong winds and storms passing through the Miami Valley overnight.

GREENE COUNTY
In Greene County, dispatchers reported relatively minor damage, but said that there were some trees down scattered across the county. They also reported one power pole down outside of Cedarville and two places in Sugarcreek Township where power lines were knocked down due to trees.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY
We have heard reports of trees down in multiple places around Montgomery County beginning around 10:30 p.m. yesterday, but Montgomery County Regional Dispatch officials said that there hadn’t been many more reports after around 11 p.m.
MIAMI COUNTY
Miami County appears to have been hit hard by the storms, particularly in central Troy, though there have been no reported injuries.

According to dispatchers, crews from Dayton Power & Light, Vectren and multiple fire departments are in the area working to clean up. However, dispatchers encourage people to avoid central Troy due to the danger posed by damaged structures.
Several power outages were reported across the county, and there have been multiple reports of snapped poles and power lines down. Gas leaks have been reported, but dispatchers said that none have been confirmed.
Large trees have been reported down in roadways.
